Web Site: davidhellmann.com

Gorgeous detailing throughout. Love all those textures—the masking tape, the cloth, the leathers, the wall and floor—and the earthy color scheme with multiple neutrals and that splash of green. A Wordpress-driven site that really doesn't feel bloggy.

Web site: clandrei.de

Super solid grid and limited color scheme really make this site stand out. Love the way they've adjusted the photos to maintain the color scheme. Love the scale of the photos, etc.

Web Site: allianceforarts.com

Love the black and green, scale of the photos. Love the navigation system: non-standard so they've locked it down and it doesn't take long to come to grips with it. Logical IA and consistent page structure. Feels distinctly different from other sites but it's still usable and even pleasant.

Web Site: newgencoal.com.au

Neat, polished, expensive and utterly rubbish Web site. In fairness to the designers, whatever was left of their souls before they took on the project may have been eaten by their clients' board members.

The Flash work is nice but takes four and a half days to load. What's the key information you want me to scan? What's the next action? Because there seem to be fifty possible actions, all of them more or less equally important. Maybe that rich white corporate guy can help sort it out.

This is a site that really wants to be interactive, but it's just a shallow brochure site.

Nice simple home page for a a social network app. Grid could be tighter.
